Drexel Publishing Group consists of three main publications: ASK, Maya, and Painted Bride Quarterly.
ASK is an online publications produced by Drexel’s College of Arts and Sciences. It includes news about and events sponsored by the college, faculty profiles, and essays and articles written largely by faculty and staff about the arts and sciences. ASK also features creative works, and showcases writers, scholars, or other individuals of notices dedicated to nurturing the arts. ASK also produces one hard copy per years that will include the publication’s most luminous pieces.
Maya is the completely student-run and operated literary magazine at Drexel University. Maya publishes poetry, prose, short fiction & nonfiction pieces, as well as graphics, illustrations, photography and any kind of art. Drexel students seeking an outlet for their work should consider submitting to Maya or getting further involved. Maya is a completely free and nonprofit organization, so we are always looking for fresh faces interested in writing, literature or art to contribute to our team.
Painted Bride Quarterly was established in Philadelphia in 1973. As a community-based independent, non-profit literary magazine published quarterly online and annually in print, PBQ’s main agenda is to maintain and grow a venue for the highest quality literature that best represents the individual voice. PBQ does not limit itself to one particular school or genre. We publish emerging and established regional authors in the context of their peers from across the country and around the world. The combination of PBQ’s volunteer editorial tables and the ever-changing student staff makes its published voice so unique. |
